The development now really goes fast, and we can se progress from day to day. At 3 weeks and a couple of days it was time to try to eat for the first time. It took some tries to learn and that it is best to keep the feet out of the food plate :) . Othilias milk production is now at the highest, and it is a completely different technique to eat wet food compared to drinking milk from the mum. But the 3 little puppy-kids now master both techniques :)

We have now introduced a new bed to the puppies. At the beginning just for a short while, but soon it became their “daybed”. The new bed has a very low entrance so the puppies can follow their natural instinct to crawl out of the sleeping area in order to relieve themselves. But at the end of the day, they seek towards the whelping box for the night sleep sitting in front of it asking for someone to help them in. So, this week is a kind of transition week regarding sleeping area.
The puppies have a blanket in front of the bed that makes it easier for them to keep the balance, but they slowly start to explore the world outside the blanket on the more slippery floor - and to learn to know the rest of the kitchen. They still do not see or hear very well so when they have moved too far away, they start to call their mom to come and help them to find their way back :)
The muffik matts (used for children) have now been installed in the kitchen and they have started to experience new surfaces under their little feet.
We also gave it a try to introduce the little trio to a new room and completely new surface. And with mom close by it went very well :)

The “Sound Desensitizing Program” is in full progress – this week we have focus on fireworks. And the puppies do not seem to care whether it is Verdi or fireworks that is filling the air in the kitchen – they sleep, eat and play unaffected.
At the end of the week we can now start to feel little teeth and the puppies increases their interest to bite in everything new they meet. Soon they will turn into real little piranhas :)
Our little black girl is developing more slowly than the two grey puppies. She seems to be happy and with good appetite so we will have her under observation in the coming weeks to evaluate how she develops. Hopefully, she will soon catch up with her siblings <3
