World Dog Show 2011, France

This year´s summer holiday was planned together with the World Dog Show in Paris. And we really enjoyed our trip to the generous France! We started with some nice days in Paris, and fully enjoyed the historic setting!

Un doubtedly Hathea & Gemma too loved their vist to Paris!

The highlight though for Krister and Ulrikke was without doubt the visit to Disneyland Park. It was some very tired kids that went to sleep at night with a big smile on their faces.

The visit to the World Dog Show was most pleasant, with a nice and welorganised atmosphere. There were 88 Italian Greyhounds entered, perhaps a bit disappointing entry, but still enough to give us a challenge in having time enough to say hello to all we had hoped to meet in Paris! Unfortunately neither Gemma nor Hathea were appreciated especially by the Italian judge, and there were no placings in the classes.

We had however, the opportunity to see several relatives to our own dogs, always a very learning experience! We also had the wonderful pleasure to meet again with Fabienne Becker ("Nubiad"), who had brought with er the absolutely fanstastic "Nubiad Darlin´Saffronah". Wonderful type, S-curves, neck-set etc.........take a look, and see for yourself:

Nubiad Darlin´Saffronah, who is a halfsister to our G-litter (Gemma/Genghis/Gloria)!

The day after the show we went off to our real destination for the holiday - Provence! And Provence really treated us nicely! We fully enjoyed the nature, the culture (incl. the culinaric!) and the warm temperatures!! There were lots of long walkings, swimming and canoing - indeed something for all members of the family!

Gemma & Hathea had great fun and loved all the walkings in the wonderful nature of Provence.

The family is having a short break on a snall spot with a little shadow, before continuing the "hunting" on the antiques market

The holiday went far to fast, and soon it was time to go back home. We all hope that it will not take too long until we can enjoy the generosity of Provence again!!!
