Celje, European dog show 2010

We had the opportunity to take a week off and combine the Autumn leave with a trip to Slovenia. One of the days was of course a trip to Celje and the European dog Show. And our Genghis did very fine. He took the 2 nd place in a strong champion class males.

1. CH Be Bop du Domaine des Chanteloup (later BOB), 2. CH Il Cagnolino Genghis Khan , 3. MultiCH Giusue dei raggi di luna

Judge: Per Iversen. 76 IG´s entered.

Gemma was awarded "Excellent" and was within the first cut in the champion class females, but was not placed in the final line up.

One of Fernando´s sons (Fernando is living with knl. Forum Romanum) was also visiting Celje. "Cirillo Tileco" was 2 nd in Intermediate class. A lovely masculine male in a super size! With a little more ring training, this young male will do great in the show rings! No 1 in intermediate class was CH Dipsy du Domaine des Chanteloup. The father of our H-litter! AND the European junior winner title was awarded to the young and promising Estes Forum Romanum. A Grandson of our Fernando. A BIG congratulation to his breeders and owners, Karolina and Piotr!

We all enjoyed our day in Celje and the European Dog Show, and all familiy members had their share of fun. Here is Krister and Ulrikke saying hello to the mascot of the childrens museeum - a wonderful fox.

Krister and Ulrikke also got inspired by the big show event, and did a little practise on their junior handling skills.

After a long day in Celje at the big show, we all (incl our 4-legged friends) enjoyed a nice dinner at the banks of the river Sava. What a luxury to be able to eat outside at this time of the year!

We only visited Celje one day. Slovenia´s capital Ljubljana was the base for our holiday leave. The climate is friendly, the capital very nicely placed at the banks of the river Sava and surrounded by mountains. We indeed enjoyed a very nice stay, and with lots of walkings for the dogs in the city as well as in the forrests and mountains!

On the way back home from Slovenia, we visited the famous city Rothenburg ob der Tauber in Bayern, Germany. It is simply a fantastic, historical city! Time is set back to medieval, and the city tour was carried out by horse carriage. Needless to say that the kids were thrilled!

Back home again, we can think back on a wonderful autumn holiday, and the meeting with old and new friends within the wonderful world of dogs......!
