The puppies are born! - The Q-litter
Finally, our long awaited first litter after our Othilia has arrived!! On the 5th of April our Othilia gave birth to 3 wonderful puppies! 1little boy (grey) and 2 little girls (one grey, one black)!! We could not be happier!!

Being a first-time mother it is always interesting to see how the mothers handle the puppies. But right from the beginning Othilia knew what to do and when! Already just before the birth we got a strong indication that her instinct was strong. She is the first we have had, that have started to dig a hole in the garden to prepare a cave for her puppies! Right after the birth she started to lick the puppies and allowed them to find the milk bar. Wonderful to see these strong instincts inherited through generations and with no doubt how to handle the little new borns.

The first days after birth the little family are under supervision 24/7. There is an eye on the wellbeing of the little fragile puppies and on the mother as well. What a privilege to sit quietly next to the whelping box and admire the little new lives brought into the world <3
